(Vega bites the inside of her cheek.

She says hotly,) Well I found a demon too.

Yes.

(This is serious though, and she's not trying to become the next person told off for taking it lightly. She's quick to amend:) I'm not entirely sure of it. But a few weeks ago a young woman approached me in the training yard and knocked me down into the mud with her bow after I spoke to her. Then she threatened me.

(It was out-of-the-ordinary; now that they're all combing their own ranks for infiltrators it seems worth reporting.)

Slightly shorter than me; brown hair, pulled back. Her skin is very freckled and she was wearing a hostile, frightening expression.

I thought the whole point that was none of you could 'just tell' anything. Isn't that why everything is so tense right now?

(Vega makes a squawking sound of disbelief and goes completely silent.

So she's been sitting here, badmouthing one to the other with Clarisse in the know the entire time? And probably laughing to herself at Vega's indiscretion?? A hot roil of embarrassment makes her eyes water, hard.
